How to check the set up of your hall on the website

To check the setup of your hall on the website, use the "Hall" option in the "Events" module to preview the hall and ensure the green and red dots appear correctly on either side of the selected seat. If the dots are not positioned correctly, adjust the hall settings in the "Halls" module by selecting the specific hall and modifying the "Sort Seats" option to match the seat numbering configuration.

When using the seat selection layover from Peppered, you might like to know if the settings you choose for the hall are correct. By using the "Hall" option in events you can check these settings. This option is available when you are in the "Events" module and are editing a specific event.

When clicking on "Hall ", a preview of the hall will be displayed. By hovering over the hall you will see a green and red dot appear. This is only available when using a hall with seat selection.

You can test the hall settings bij checking the following:

On the left side of the seat that you are hovering over, a green dot needs to appear, while at the same time there must be a red dot on the right side of the seat you are selecting.

Your hall is correctly organised when you see the red and green dots always on the sides. If you see the dots dancing around in the hall, some settings might not be right. For example in the image below you see there is an extra seat in between, which means something in the hall settings is not right.

To adjust your hall settings you need to go to the "Halls" module (Dashboard > Event Metadata > Halls) and select the specific hall in which you detected the wrong settings.

By adjusting the "Sort Seats", the problem will be solved. It will probably be set to as-is (which means it copies the settings from the ticketing system, but that goes wrong sometimes as you have detected by now).

Select the right setting for the way the seats in your hall are numbered. To find the right setting, you should take 1 row in mind and determine how it is set up if you go from left to right on the row. Are the numbers all ascending (1, 2, 3...) or descending (24, 23, 22...). Or is the row split in two with uneven and even numbers on either side?

By adjusting these settings your green and red dots will probably be always on your left and right side.
