Updated: 18 November 2024 for Release v204
Template texts are texts that are used in website templates. These often have a direct relationship with the technique. In addition, there are texts that should reflect the language and identity of the theater.
Overview of Template Texts module
To manage template texts there is the "Template texts" module in the dashboard. Ask your administrator for access in case this module is not visible to you.
In the "Template texts" module you will find all the website texts that you can adjust yourself. In most cases there will be a standard text, in some cases there is no default text. In the absence of text, the technique determines what has to be done. With important texts, a standard text is shown so that nothing can go wrong.
All Template texts support multiple languages; they come with default texts in Dutch, English, German and French.
Texts are recognized by their label. There is a text for each label; sometimes plain text, sometimes with limited HTML formatting.
Searching in the module
You can find all Template texts by searching for one or several words you would like to modify in the template text module. Sometimes several hits will show up. Search for whole text you would like to edit. You can for instance use this for the footer headings and body text, each column has it's own Template Text. If you search for the words used in your footer, you end up with the Template Text FE3_footerCol, could be column 1, 2 or 3 with different labels for Heading and Body. After modifying the Template text, make sure to check whether the adapted text has the desired result on the website.
Using dynamic tags in Template texts
In some Template texts it is possible to use dynamic tags that generate different content depending on the context. There are three ways to add special tags within template texts, which we will each discuss in the following sections. You can always ask a Customer Success Manager to check this with you if necessary.
1. Event based tags
Event based tags are often used in automated event driven emails (before and after servicemails, see chapter 3) to generate specific content belonging to the event within the email, like its title or location. When the use of such tags is possible in a template text, this will be mentioned in the explanation of that template text. The actual content belonging to the tag will be shown in the email once it is generated. Below you can find a list of all the event based tags that can be used.

Personal tags can be used on the website to retrieve personal data of visitors that logged in. For example, this is currently in use on the homepage, to welcome the visitor. The default greeting in template text is "Hi [!firstname!]! Welcome back", but other tags are also possible. In addition, names are usually used in the confirmation message on the website after a successful order, and during a pending payment while ordering. Below is a list of all personal tags that can be used. We advise to only use names or initials.

Texts in servicemails
For the servicemail before the show, search for "servicemail_voor" and for "PreEventmail".
For the servicemail after the show, search for "servicemail_na" and for "AfterEventmail".
Queue
The general notification in the queue page: search for "wachtrij".This text is a short general explanation about the queue in general. The text can be adjusted, but after editing it is not changed live in an open queue screen. So do not use this text to communicate with people waiting.
