This document provides information about the Visitor account fields module, including the different groups of account fields, forms where fields can be found, field settings, and configuring countries in the country select box. The module allows users to define the set of fields for forms on their website, and each field can be set as optional, required, or inactive.
It advises users to ensure the settings match those of their ticketing system and provides a list of required fields for different ticketing systems.
This Visitor account fields module enables you to define the exact set of fields for all forms on your website that your visitors can come across while browsing and ordering. You can find it under the Marketing category (Dashboard > Marketing > Account Fields).

Visitor Account Forms
There are four main areas on your website where a form can be found. Click on the edit pencil to adjust the properties of each account field entry:
1. Orders - Minimal fields
These are the fields that are validated before finalising an order. If one of the required fields in Minimal fields is missing data, the Visitor will be prompted to fill out the form. This option can be used to add new required fields to your dataset. For instance, if you want to make a phone number required, any visitor who already has an account (without phone number) will be prompted during the order process to add a phone number. The Minimal fields set is a final validation for both existing and new accounts during checkout.
2. New Visitors - All fields
New visitors will see the All fields form during their first time logging on to the website. They can only continue when all Required fields are filled in. This form is usually the same as the Minimal fields form, but you have the option to add optional fields here for first time users if you want to. Once logged in, this form is also shown when a visitor navigates to the My personal data page of their account.
3. Newsletter subscription fields
Visitors who sign up for your newsletter(s) will see this form after they have been sent a confirmation email.
4. Additional shipment fields
This optional form will be activated if not all mandatory fields are filled in for the shipment of tickets to a physical address. If the address fields are optional fields while creating an account, a message will pop up when a visitor has not yet given an address. The pop-up will guide the visitor to the “edit account” form, in which the required extra fields will be shown.
Field Settings
In every form, each field can have three settings:
- Optional = The field is shown, but can be left empty by the visitor.
- Required = The field must be filled in. Leaving it empty will cause a notification when saving the form data. An extra sign ***** will be shown after the field name for these fields.
- Inactive = The field will not be shown at all.
What Fields to Use?
The module does not restrain any setting or combination of fields except for the required email address. All other fields can be optional or even hidden.
However, each ticketing system can have its own conditions for what is required, make sure your settings match the ones from your ticketing system. This is not applicable to the Newsletter form, which is a stand-alone Peppered platform form.
For each ticketing system, the account requirements can be different. Peppered cannot be responsible for the right configuration of fields that are required by your ticketing system.
As a service, we contacted all ticketing partners about required or suggested account fields, and this resulted in the overview below. Please note that our ticketing partners may change this at any time (this list is not updated).
Ticketing System | Required Fields |
Eventim | e-mail address |
Active Tickets | e-mail address |
Itix | e-mail address, last name, salutation |
Ticketmatic 3 | e-mail address |
